TOURNAMENT RULES

1. Winter rules are in effect.

  • Ball may be moved one club length in fairway only (your fairway only); must be played down in rough and all hazards. (Roots and rocks are not cause for free drop!)
  • There are no gimmies!!! Putt everything out. No exceptions!!!!
  • Any ball hit out of bounds (White Stakes) can be played as a lateral hazard. (No distance penalty). This should allow for speedier play and elimination from the hole.
  • A lost ball does not need to be played from previous spot. Drop a ball at the last known spot and play from there with a one-stroke penalty.

 2. Point System

 4. Each Player will be assigned a point quota for each round, based on previous scores or handicap.

  • Any points scored below or above quota count towards round score
  • Example:

  • If a player scores more than (+4/-4) in any round, the max/min score applied to his tournament score will be +4/-4. The players Round Score will not be affected.

  • If a players scores more than his quota in one round, his quota will be adjusted higher for the next round as follows:

 5. First-time players in the event will be assigned a starting quota using the following formula:

  • 36 – USGA Handicap Index
  • If players USGA Handicap is 4, their starting quota will be 32
    • 36-4 = 32 Initial Quota

 6. Scoring

  • Each player will be responsible for his own score. You will be provided a paper scorecard, but official score must be submitted through the app. If you run into any difficulty please take a picture of actual scorecard and send to 615-604-4905

 7. Prizes

  • Prize money will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place (possibly 3rd place) finishers each round.
  • There will also be prize money awarded to the Overall Tournament Individual 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place (possibly 4th). This is awarded to the golfers who score the highest above their quota for all three rounds. The +4/-4 rule is in effect. The max number of points toward the tournament score each day is +4 or -4.
  •  In case of a tie for overall winner, the tie will go to the person who finished highest above his quota, excluding the +4/-4 rule. If there is still a tie, there will be co-champions.

 8. Skins Game

  • There will also be a skins game. An allotted amount will be applied for each player, each round, and the total money will be split evenly between the skins winners each round.

 9. Hole In One

  • . If anyone happens to make a hole-in-one. Everyone will pay him $10. (This will help cover the expenses of all our drinks)

 10. Payouts

  • At the tournament’s end, I will tally all of the scores and post the winnings to your email. I will give 3 options to receiving your winnings.The first will be to send money via PayPal or Venmo. 2nd, I will send you a check and lastly I will credit toward next year’s tournament.
