TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Winter Rules are in effect.
• Ball may be moved one club length in fairway only (your fairway only); must be played down in rough and all hazards. (Roots and Rocks are not grounds for free drop!)
• There are no gimmies!!! Putt everything out. No exceptions!!!!!
• Any ball hit out of bounds (White Stakes) can be layed as a lateral hazard. (No distance penalty). This should allow for speedier play and elimination from hole.
• A lost ball does not need to be replayed from the previous spot. Drop a ball at the last known spot and play from there with a one-stroke penalty.
2. Point System
• Bogie = 1 Point
• Par = 2 Points
• Birdie = 4 Points
• Eagle = 6 Points
• Double Eagle = 8 Points
3. Tees
• 54 & Under - Orange
• 55-69 - White
• 70 & Above - Gold
4. Scoring
• Each player will be assigned a point quota for each round based on previous scores or handicap.
• Any points scored below or above quota, count toward round score.
• If a player scores more than (+4/-4) in any round, the max/min score applied to his tournament score will be +4/-4. The player's round score will not be affected.
• If a player scores more than his quota in one round, his quota will be adjusted higher for next round as follows:
Above Adjustment
- 0 to +1 0
- +2 to +3 1
- +4 to +6 2
- +7 to +9 3
- +10 to +11 4
- +12 & Above 5
• If a player scores less than his quota in one round, his quota will be adjusted higher for next round as follows:
Below Adjustment
- 0 to -1 0
- -2 to -3 -1
-- -4 & Below -2
5. First Time Players
• First-time players in the event will be assigned a starting quota using the following formula:
• 36 - USGA Handicap Index
• If a players USGA Index is 4, their starting quota will be 32
6. Scorecards
• Each player will receive his own scorecard. Please double check and sign before turning in at the end of round. Once signed and turned in, no changes will be made. An incorrect scorecard could result in disqualification.
7. Prizes
• Prizes will be awarded for each round and and overall tournament. There will also be prizes awarded for skins. These prizes will be based on the number of entries into the tournament.
8. Ties
• In case of a tie for the overall winner, the tie will go to the person who finished highest above his quota excluding the +4/-4 rule. If there is still a tie, they will be co-champions
9. Hole-In-One
• If anyone happens to make a hole in one. Everyone will pay him $10. (This will help cover the expenses of all our drinks.)
